Night Out In Soho: Fella × Gabicci

This shoot took us straight into the heart of Soho, working once again with Fella, this time in collaboration with Gabicci; the iconic Italian-British fashion brand known for sharp tailoring and classic designs.

before the shoot

Ahead of the shoot, we spent time in pre-production with Bobby, the owner of Fella, sharing references, shaping ideas, and aligning on the overall direction. That early collaboration helped set the tone for a project that felt instinctive, loose, and grounded in culture rather than over-styled.

Some of our references from our pre-production stage

The concept leaned heavily into paparazzi culture, pulling references from 1970s and 80s club photography — in-your-face flash, imperfect framing, and that chaotic energy.

Think bright lights, raw movement, and the feeling of being right in the middle of it all.

the look, the light, the night

We made full use of the existing neon lights around Soho, blending them with our own lighting to create bold pops of colour and hard, direct flashes. The lighting was intentionally confrontational, catching people mid-movement, mid-laugh, mid-drink, keeping everything feeling immediate and alive.

Stylistically, the shoot mixed street fashion with references to mods and rockers, bringing together tailored pieces and more relaxed, everyday looks. The aim was balance: laid-back, cool, and effortless, but still loaded with attitude. Nothing too polished everything meant to feel worn-in and lived with.

a night out, documented

The whole shoot was built around the idea of a band night out, starting in the pub, spilling into the streets, and letting the night lead the visuals rather than the other way around.

We shot inside The Marquis, a legendary Soho pub, while live music was playing, giving the space an electric, unpredictable energy. From there, we hit the streets, outside Sounds of the Universe, and down neon-lit corners of Soho, capturing moments that felt less like a fashion shoot and more like fragments from a long night out.

In a perfect bit of serendipity, there happened to be a barber chair tucked away in the back of the pub — a happy accident that quickly became part of the story.

behind the scenes: shot on film

Alongside the stills, we captured the behind-the-scenes entirely on 16mm and 8mm film featuring hand-animated titles, keeping the process as raw and tactile as the concept itself. Grain, movement, light leaks, all of it became part of the visual language.

We Got Featured in Modern Barber Magazine

Modern Barber Magazine

We’re thrilled to share that our Down to Margate shoot has been featured in the 2025 Summer edition of Modern Barber Magazine - a national spotlight on talented barbers, brands and stylists.

Shot for Fella Hair in collaboration with Farah Menswear, the campaign was captured on location in Margate, blending golden hour light, gritty textures, and a visual style inspired by 90s indie magazines. We used a mix of digital stills and Super 8 footage to create something that felt nostalgic, handmade and full of character.

We leaned into that band-on-tour energy, loose, filmic, and sun-faded, but with boldness throughout. The goal was to make the visuals feel less like a campaign and more like fleeting moments from a coastal day out.

Locations like the Dalby Café, the Lido complex and the beach helped us shape a visual story full of bold colours and iconic Margate sights.

Modern Barber featured a selection of our stills in their Summer issue, it’s great to see them shared with a wider audience.

Postcards from Margate

Alongside the print feature, we created a behind-the-scenes Super 8 video, custom magazine covers, and vintage postcards to bring the full story to life.
